A Penn State student from Anne Arundel County died Friday after jumping from a State College, Pa., parking garage, authorities said.

Andrew M. Magargle, 22, of Pasadena was found dead Friday morning outside the Fraser Street parking garage, State College police said. Centre County Coroner Scott Sayers ruled the death a suicide Saturday.

"It is with deep sadness that we learned of Andrew's death. It is always heart wrenching to hear that a student's life has been cut short, and we grieve for this loss," said Penn State Spokeswoman Lisa Powers said. "Our deepest sympathy is offered to his family and friends."

Magargle was a senior who recently completed his final semester studying computer science. He was expected to graduate Saturday, according to the Penn State student news website OnWard State.
