Woman injured after being thrown from horse in Pasadena

A 56-year-old woman suffered life-threatening injuries Sunday after being thrown from a horse in Pasadena.

The incident occurred around 6:15 pm. at Mountain and Flanigan Farm roads, said Fire Department spokesman Lt. Russ Davies.

A landing zone was set up at Chesapeake High School and the woman was flown to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore with critical, life-threatening injuries, Davies said.

No additional information was immediately available.
