Odenton house fire causes estimated $250K in damages

Anne Arundel County firefighters responded to a blaze Tuesday morning in Odenton that caused an estimated $250,000 in damage.

According to the fire department, around 7:15 a.m., calls were received reporting a house fire in the 1300 block of Meyers Station Road.

Upon arrival, firefighters saw fire and smoke from the second floor, and about 50 responders from Anne Arundel and Prince George's counties and Fort Meade came to the scene. The fire was brought under control in 30 minutes, officials said.

The cause of the fire was determined to be accidental; three people in the home escaped without injury.
