Services for firefighter killed in murder-suicide

Services for Andrew S. Hoffman, a decorated city firefighter who was fatally shot Sunday in an apparent murder-suicide in Glen Burnie, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen, 5200 N. Charles St.

Mr. Hoffman, 27, who lived in Glen Burnie, and his girlfriend, Marie Hartman, were fatally shot by Ms. Hartman's ex-boyfriend, who then killed himself, according to police.

Mr. Hoffman is survived by his parents, Bryan and Donna Hoffman of Glen Burnie; two sisters, Ashley Yeagley of Hanover, Pa., and Amy Hoffman of Glen Burnie; his paternal grandparents, Samuel and Joan Hoffman of Baltimore; his maternal grandmother, Betty Workman of Glen Burnie; and a niece and nephew.
