Glen Burnie hotel robbed at gunpoint by men in ski masks

A hotel in Glen Burnie was robbed at gunpoint on Tuesday night, with two suspects making off with cash and two cell phones, Anne Arundel County police said.

A clerk at the La Quinta Inn Hotel, in the 6300 block of Ritchie Highway, told police who came to the scene at around 11 p.m. that two men wearing black ski masks came in through the front door and demanded money. The clerk turned over an undisclosed amount of cash, his own iPhone and a walkie-talkie type phone owned by the hotel.

The suspects ran away and were unable to be found by police helicopter and K-9 units. Besides ski masks, the men wore hooded sweatshirts and gloves to conceal their appearances.

Anyone with information is asked to call the robbery unit at 410-222-3566.
