The identity of a badly decomposed body found in Glen Burnie on Tuesday morning still has not been determined, according to Anne Arundel County police.
A person doing yard work noticed what he thought was a dead animal's body in a creek at about 10 a.m. and dislodged it so it could move downstream, police said. Soon, the person realized it may have been a human body and called police.
The body was found in "a significant state of composition" in a creek near the 1200 block of Branch Lane, police said.
Police academy recruits and dogs from Chesapeake Search Dogs helped search for evidence in the area where the body was found, police said.
The body has been sent to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy, police said.
