A Carroll County man whose Toyota Prius was struck in a crash in Jessup Friday morning has died, Anne Arundel County police said Sunday.

Gregory Alan Cassagne, 59, of New Windsor died Saturday night at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, according to police.

His 2009 Toyota Prius was struck about 7 a.m. Friday by a 2009 Nissan Altima as it turned left onto westbound MD Route 175 from Max Blobs Park Road, police said. An investigation determined that the driver of the Prius failed to yield to the other car, according to police. Both drivers were taken by ambulances to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma.

The crash shut down all westbound lanes of Route 175 at Clark Road during the morning commute, and one eastbound lane was closed to accommodate westbound traffic, police said.

Neither driver was properly restrained by a seat belt, police said. The crash remains under investigation.
