Patron of Glen Burnie restaurant stabbed during robbery

Anne Arundel County police are searching for the men who robbed a Friendly's restaurant in Glen Burnie Sunday night and stabbed one of the patrons.

Police said that two men wearing black ski masks and dark clothing, one of them armed with a handgun and knife, came into the restaurant in the 400 block of Crain Highway shortly before 9 p.m. and took money from the business, and cash and personal items from patrons.

A customer who may have resisted was cut in the torso, police said. He was taken to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center. His condition was unknown Monday. Two other people who were struck by the men did not need medical treatment, police said.

The robbers left with a third man who was outside the restaurant and who police think may have been their lookout.

Metro Crime Stoppers is offering a $2,000 reward for information, which may be provided anonymously. Crime Stoppers can be reached at 1-800-756-3587 or online at
