Man with knife robs Glen Burnie store

A man armed with a knife robbed the Lil Guardian Angels shop in Glen Burnie Saturday afternoon, and then possibly escaped down a bicycle trail, according to Anne Arundel County police.

A clerk told police that a man walked into the store on Central Avenue about 3:30 p.m., took out a knife and demanded money as he went around the counter. Police said an undetermined amount of money was taken from the store, which sells baby clothes and toys.

Police said the man escaped on foot, possibly down a nearby bike trail. Police said they used dogs and a helicopter but could not find the man. He is described as white, in his 50s and standing about 5 feet 4 inches. He weighs about 120 pounds, has collar length hair, a light beard and was wearing a dark gray T-shirt, a green knit hat with an orange stripe and blue jeans.
