Annapolis Wine Expo
The Annapolis Wine Expo will be held from noon to 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, May 11, at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis, and volunteers are needed for each session. Each volunteer will receive a free ticket, free on-site parking, a souvenir wine or beer glass, bottled water and a gift. Arundel Public Library
The library seeks a volunteer, 16 or older, to assist with scanning a large archive of historical photographs and clippings, uploading the images to Flickr and entering any data written on the photos. Accuracy and careful handling of delicate items are important, as is the ability to work independently. All work will take place at library headquarters, 5 Harry S. Truman Parkway in Annapolis. Tawes Garden & Shop
Volunteers are needed to help with a variety of gardening tasks, including planting, watering, weeding and mulching. Also needed are tour guides, particularly in April and May, to assist the teacher-naturalist with large groups. Year-round programs need chaperons for field trips as well as assistants for nature programs. Shopkeepers are needed for two-hour shifts on a weekly or bimonthly basis in the gift shop at the Maryland Department of Natural Resources in Annapolis.
