The Department of Aging and Disabilities has updated a booklet on community support groups. The booklet focuses on groups for caregivers, Alzheimer's disease, bereavement for adults and children, diabetes, brain injury, cancer, stroke, cardiac and pulmonary problems, Parkinson's, and bowel and urinary diversions. Brochures on residents' rights in nursing homes and assisted-living facilities and another brochure on the ombudsman program protecting those residents are available from the Department of Aging and Disabilities. The Anne Arundel County Department of Aging and Disabilities has published its 2012-2013 edition of "Services for Seniors, Adults with Disabilities and Caregivers." The free directory is printed annually in May (Older Americans Month) and includes information on rental and housing assistance, legal help, county social services benefits and caregiver information. 'Courageous Honor Begins at Home' A film about law enforcement officers and the challenge of fatherhood will be shown at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21. Popcorn will be served.

Learn a special way to load paint on your brush and techniques that can be used to paint many items, including glass, fabric, paper and craft items.
