Benefit concert Maryland Therapeutic Riding's annual Live on the Farm benefit concert featuring 14-time Grammy Award-winner Ricky Skaggs will be held at 1141 Sunrise Beach Road in Crownsville. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. The event also features the Hard Travelers as the opening act, as well as live and silent auctions. Cost is $65 for general admission and $125 for VIP admission. Classical music The Annapolis Symphony Orchestra's 2013-2014 season-opening concerts will be held at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts, 801 Chase St. in Annapolis. Workshop Annapolis Historic Preservation Commission and the Maryland Historic Trust will host a free workshop on the proper way to rehabilitate properties in Maryland's Historic Districts from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Annapolis City Hall, 160 Duke of Gloucester St. Parking is available in the Noah Hillman garage. Historic restoration experts from around the region will provide a primer on the right way to maintain, repair and restore historic buildings. A box lunch will be available for $10.
