Arts, crafts festival The annual Annapolis Arts and Crafts Festival takes place at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis. Visitors can view the works of some of the region's best artists and craftsmen, sample fine cuisine and select wine tastings, enjoy live entertainment and take a walk through history along the brick-lined streets of Colonial Annapolis. Home and garden tour The Eastport Civic Association's seventh annual Home & Garden Tour takes place, rain or shine, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. It features 10 homes and gardens in a quiet, lesser-known area of the west side of the Eastport peninsula, between Boucher Avenue and Spa Creek. Participants will have an opportunity to see behind the front doors and into the gardens of these homes located on Boucher Avenue, Moss Haven Court, Quarter Landing Road, Miami Avenue and Wells Landing. Wrestling night The Bowie Baysox welcome Bret "The Hitman" Hart during "Legends of Wrestling" Night as the team take on the Portland Sea Dogs at 7:05 p.m. at Prince George's Stadium, 41001 Crain Highway in Bowie. Eastport Luau The event will be held from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. June 30 (rain or shine) at the Eastport Democratic Club, 525 State St. in Annapolis. Refreshments available for purchase include slow-roasted whole pig smoked in cherry wood and served with barbecue sauce, jerk chicken and five-bean bourbon baked beans. Navy Boot Camps The Armel-Leftwich Visitor Center of the U.S. Naval Academy holds its annual "Navy Way" boot camps Saturdays, July 14 and Aug. 18. Basic Boot Camp is a morning program; Advanced Boot Camp is an afternoon program. Basic Boot Camp is for recruits ages 6-12 and runs from 10 a.m. to noon. Recruits are issued a sailor's cap, learn Navy terms, march, chant, follow orders and eat in a simulated mess hall. Cost is $35 and includes a "Dixie cup" cap, camp, lunch (two slices of pizza and a soda) and a certificate of participation at graduation. Advanced Boot Camp is for graduates of Basic Boot Camp ages 9-12 and runs from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Participants take seamanship training (tying knots), learn how to use semaphore flags and march in precision drill. Cost is $40 and includes all training materials. Graduates attain the rank of Swabbie 1st Class and receive a certificate of participation and a button for their cap at graduation. Crab feast The Rotary Club of Annapolis will hold its annual crab feast from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Aug. 3 at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis. The all-you-can-eat-and-drink affair includes large and No. 1 male crabs, Maryland crab soup, corn on the cob, beef barbecue, hot dogs, draft beer, sodas and water. There will be a bake sale and cake raffle. Tickets are $60, $20 for children ages 3 to 12, and free for those younger than 3. Tickets will be available for $75 at the stadium box office starting at 4 p.m. the day of the event.
