'Massing of the Colors'

Gov. Martin O'Malley will be the keynote speaker at Fort Meade's annual "Massing of the Colors" at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, May 6, at the pavilion off Llewellyn Avenue on the base. Free event features the U.S. Army Field Band and U.S. Army Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps, along with the Military District of Washington Armed Forces Color Guard. Networking cruise

Entrepreneur's Exchange will host a cruise aboard the Woodwind II from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 15. Board is at 6:15 p.m. at the Annapolis Marriott Waterfront Hotel, 80 Compromise St. in Annapolis. The ship will sail past the U.S. Naval Academy and into the Chesapeake Bay. Youth Fishing Rodeo

Paca plant sale

Historic Annapolis Foundation hosts the annual William Paca Garden Plant Sale, featuring a variety of heirloom flowers, vegetables and herbs, native trees and shrubs, and some of the newest seeds offered in this year's catalog. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 12, and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 13. All plants are grown by Historic Annapolis Foundation volunteers. Wine festival

The annual Chesapeake Bay Wine Festival will be held Saturday-Sunday, May 5-6, at the Bay Bridge Marina, 357 Pier One Road in Stevensville. Bowie auditions

The American Association of University Women has announced the availability of its Women To Women Awards for the fall. These small financial awards are available to county women and girls to help support their access to careers through training, education, leadership and skills development.
