A 21-year-old Odenton man was sentenced Thursday to serve 18 months in jail for robbing and attacking a woman he arranged to meet on Craigslist. Jasyen Aaron Shelton entered a plea acknowledging to Anne Arundel County Circuit Court Judge Paul A. Hackner that prosecutors had evidence to convict him of armed robbery and a perverted sexual practice, but Shelton did not admit to the crimes. Prosecutors said he arranged to meet a woman in the parking lot of a Linthicum restaurant April 24, and then robbed and assaulted her at knifepoint. Shelton was sentenced to 10 years in prison, with all but the 18 months suspended, plus five years of probation.
