Being an animal lover and having raised three dogs of my own, I must say that this man's actions were unconscionable. The dog's owner entrusted her animal to his care; instead, he shot the dog. One question--why was his companion, Ms. Tavenello, only given a suspended sentence? Obviously she knew what Mr. Balboni was going to do, and she was supposed to be assisting him with the dog's care. This is truly a sad case.
