Two women arrested for Black Friday assault at Annapolis Mall

Anne Arundel County Police on Thursday arrested two women on assault charges in connection with a Black Friday shopping incident at Annapolis Mall that was recorded on cell phone video.

Police said in a prepared statement that the two women, Antonia Janee Ash, 18, and Ebonie Ta Shawn Brooks, 31, of Clinton were arrested at their residence on Thursday. On Nov. 29, a juvenile female reported to police that she had been assaulted at the Victoria's Secret store in the Annapolis Mall. Cell phone video of the fight was posted to YouTube, where it received more than 130,000 views, police said.

Along with video surveillance from the mall and other specialty stores within the mall, police said they were able to track the suspects to a store they visited prior to the assault. The suspects were identified by store records, police said.

The suspects, who are sisters, both face multiple charges, including first-degree assault, reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct, and evidence retrieved from the house further implicated them in the incident, police said.
