Three people were arrested and two were injured after a fight at a Harwood mobile home park Monday afternoon ended in a hit-and-run, police said.
The incident happened at the Maryland Manor Mobile Home Park in the 1500 block of Flanders Ln., where a 22-year-old Hughesville woman and her boyfriend were dropping her child off to her estranged husband, Steven Wilson, Jr. During the 3 p.m. drop-off, Wilson and the woman got into an argument that escalated into a fight, police said. Her boyfriend, Stephen Bassford, got out of the car and hit Wilson's brother, Matthew Wilson, in the arm with a baseball bat, police said. Matthew Wilson picked up a two-by-four and hit Bassford in the arm with it, police said.
As Bassford and the woman got into the car to leave, Matthew Wilson smashed the driver's side window with the two-by-four, police said. Bassford hit Matthew Wilson with his car as he was driving away, as well as a female bystander and two vehicles parked in the lot, police said.
The female bystander was taken to Anne Arundel Medical Center with minor injuries, police said.
Police found Bassford and the woman nearby. She was taken to Bowie Medical Center for treatment and faces pending domestic assault charges.
Bassford, 32, of the 15300 block of Sunset Dr. in Hughesville, was arrested on first- and second-degree assault and traffic charges. He was taken to Anne Arundel Medical Center for treatment.
Steven Wilson, 25, of the 1500 block of Flanders Ln., in Harwood was arrested on second-degree domestic assault charges.
Matthew Wilson, 22, also of the 1500 block of Flanders Ln., was arrested on first- and second-degree assault charges.
