Police have filed attempted murder charges against one of two men injured in an Annapolis shooting Sunday.
A large fight formed outside of an apartment complex in the first block of Bens Drive on Sunday afternoon, Annapolis police said, and amid the dispute, Lowell Hawkins, 23, of Millersville, shot Marcus Johnson, 22, of Annapolis in the legs and back.
Hawkins was also shot in the torso, though Annapolis police did not respond to a request to clarify how his shooting occurred. Both men were treated at the Maryland Shock Trauma Center and released.
Police charged Hawkins with attempted first-degree murder, attempted second-degree murder and 10 other counts. Both men left the scene after the shooting, with Hawkins was found in a car nearby and Johnson found at a fire station.
Hawkins is being held without bail and no attorney was listed for him in court records.
