An Annapolis man was sentenced Wednesday to more than seven years in federal prison following a plea agreement on drug distribution charges, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.
U.S. District Judge Richard D. Bennett sentenced Shawn Anthony Pollard, 35, to 92 months in prison on charges of conspiring to distribute cocaine and possession with the intent to distribute cocaine. Bennett also sentenced him to three years of supervised release.
Pollard pleaded guilty last April. According to the plea agreement, Pollard sold cocaine to a confidential informant on Feb. 9 and Feb. 17, 2012.
A search of Pollard's home on Bens Drive in February 2012 turned up a 9mm handgun, a digital scale with cocaine residue, .3 grams of cocaine base and $34,790 in cash, according to the plea agreement.
Pollard's phone included text messages quoting prices for drugs, according to the plea agreement.
