Annapolis police say woman assaulted near College Creek bridge

Annapolis police say an woman was sexually assaulted Tuesday near the city's College Creek bridge.

Police said the woman was in a wooded area near the bridge at about 1:48 a.m. when a man she is acquainted with punched and kicked her repeatedly, then assaulted her.  Police said the woman was transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center with serious injuries.
