City of Annapolis Police say a car that was supposed to be given to charity may have been stolen from the donor.
According to police, early this month the owner of the white 1994 Mercedes station wagon made arrangements to donate the car to charity.
Police said the car was picked up in the 100 block of Gibralter Avenue by a tow truck on June 6, but the charity later told the owner they never received the vehicle.
Police said there were no tags on the car when it was taken.
Police reported another vehicle stolen sometime this past weekend. According to the report, that incident occurred in the unit block of South Acton Place between 8:30 p.m. June 22 and 11 a.m. June 23. A blue 2010 Mercury Grand Marquis, Maryland tag 25154HT, was taken from in front of a residence.Copyright © 2015, The Baltimore Sun
