A teenage driver and an Anne Arundel County firefighter were injured Friday morning after the teen’s car crashed into a vacant house in Millersville.

Capt. Russ Davies, county fire spokesman, said the 16-year-old male driver crashed into the house about 9 a.m. at the corner of Hortonia Point Drive and Menteth Point Drive.

The unidentified driver was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore by Maryland State Police helicopter with serious but not life-threatening injuries, Davies said.

One firefighter was taken to Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie with a minor injury.

A fire department special operations team remained the scene of the crash, along with Anne Arundel County police and a county building inspector.
