Trinity Killup (106) and Ryheim Tull (132) also recorded pins for Old Mill against Annapolis and Michael Kummer (113), Damion Mansapit (126) and Nasir Bakare (285) pinned their Meade opponents.
Jake Scott (120) and Kyle Presley (152) had pins for Annapolis against Old Mill.
Quinn Johnson (160), Dimitri Sfakiyanudis (170), Kyle Leming (182) and Brandon Jackson (195) led their team with pins as Annapolis beat Meade 52-24 in the final match. The Panthers start the season 1-1.
BROADNECK SWEEPS GLEN BURNIE, NORTH COUNTY: Bently Baker (106), Michael Garlington (138), Owen Joyce (145), Mack Groah (152), Zach Doyle (182) and Noah Genovese (220) recorded two pins each as the Bruins (2-0) defeated North County, 45-21, and Glen Burnie, 78-6. Ethan Kanetsky (113), Jacob Miller (120) and Nick Schardt (132) posted two wins apiece, while Kyle Keller won by decision against North County at 170 pounds and by pin against Glen Burnie by 160 pounds.
Deshawn Madison recorded two pins at 195 pounds for North County (1-1), which defeated Glen Burnie, 84-0, in the final match. Seth Davis (126), Jesse McElhose (160, 170) and Logan Warren (285) won two matches each for the Knights. Jayden Sloan (106), Kaleb Wellford (132), Nathan Daly (138), Owen Alexander (145), Sunny Bhanot (160), Kevin Kim (182) and Da’Reyis Stewart (220) had pins for North County against the Gophers (0-2). Aly Ahmed had a pin for Glen Burnie against the Bruins.
SOUTH RIVER SWEEPS CHESAPEAKE, NORTHEAST: Mason Smith (106). Isaac Barber (120), Tyler Larson (126), Joab Patino (132), Trenton Puccinelli (152), Riley Corkran (170), Sam Hicks (182), Niko Nolte and Koran Lewis (285) had two pins each as the Seahawks (2-0) swept a tri-meet at Northeast, defeating the Eagles, 62-21 and Chesapeake, 62-12. Alex Peterson won both of his matches at 220 pounds for South River. Bryce Carleton (132), Donovan Dredden (152). Andrew Richardson (195) and Connor Watkins (285) won by pin, but the Cougars (0-2) lost to Northeast, 42-35. Dilyn Collins (113) and Victor Listorti (145) recorded pins in Chesapeake’s loss to South River. Gary O’Neil (113), William Katzenberger (145) and Matt Doyle (160, 170) recorded two pins for Northeast (1-1) and Kyle Preston (138) had two wins.
