Prep roundup: Norr's OT goal gives Arundel first-ever win over Severna Park

Delaney Norr scored in overtime to Arundel to a 2-1 victory over Severna Park in overtime on Tuesday. It marked the first victory for Arundel over Severna Park in school history.

Katie Keane scored for Arundel in the first half, but Alex Miller’s second half goal for Severna Park forced overtime.

ST. MARY’S 3, MARYVALE PREP 2: Ellen Burgin, Alexis Tackney and Gracie Driggs each scored to lead the Saints over the Lions.

CHESAPEAKE 2, OLD MILL 0: Rachel Fleig scored two first- half goals and Eryn Beal had an assist for Chesapeake, as the Cougars blanked the Patriots. Eve Vickery made two saves for Chesapeake. Becca Creekmore stopped eight shots and Shelby Kingston had a defensive save for Old Mill.

NORTH COUNTY 2, NORTHEAST 0: Madison Bennett and Alyson Geckle each scored to push the Knights over the Eagles. Emma Hurman had 12 saves for Northeast while Haleigh Green added two defensive saves.

GIRLS TENNIS

ARCHBISHOP SPALDING 4, SEVERN 1: Sofia Zafiropulos won in straight sets for the Cavaliers to push the past the Admirals. The doubles pairs of Audrey Zarzuela and Kate Woyneroski, Grace Bledsoe and Julia Jennings and Kyra Farley and Allison Braatz also won for Archbishop Spalding. Flora Damon won Severn’s lone match.

GOLF

WELLS, SEAHAWKS PREVAIL: Severna Park’s Addison Wells shot a 2-under par 33 for individual honors, but South River edged the Falcons, 165-166, for the team title in an A Division match at The Golf Club at South River.

Wells is now 3-under par cumulatively in six matches.

Mason Jones led the Seahawks with a 37 and was second overall. His teammate, Eddie Sarrach, was third with a 38.

Severna Park’s Liam Mahoney placed fourth with a 41 and Broadneck’s Luke Farnie and Chesapeake’s Matt Kurtz tied for fourth at 42.

In team play, Broadneck was third with 186 and Chesapeake was fourth with 223.
