Girls soccer: Heath's goal stands up for Kent Island

Ally Heath scored the game’s only goal, with the assist registered by McKenzie Mogel, as Kent Island blanked Snow Hill, 1-0 on Monday. Madi Banks made eight saves to earn her seventh shutout of the year for the Buccaneers, who will play in the Bayside Conference championship game on Monday at Washington College. Kent Island now sits at 9-2 with one regular season game remaining.

INDIAN CREEK 3, ST. JOHN’S C. P. 1: Gabrielle Simpkins scored two second-half goals to break a 1-1 halftime tie and lead the Eagles past the Vikings.

Azhane Rowe scored Indian Creek’s other goal as the Eagles were outshot, 16-14, but got 11 saves from Anne Shalkley. The win evened Indian Creek’s record at 4-4-1.


ST. MARY’S 3, MCDONOGH 0: The Saints swept the Eagles, 25-20, 25-19, 25-19 to run their record to 12-3 in the Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland B Conference.
