Spalding shuts out McDonogh

Paced by goals from Olivia Burkowski and Jessica Zimmerman, Archbishop Spalding improved to 7-0-2 overall and 4-0-1 in the IAAM A Conference with a 2-0 victory over McDonogh on Tuesday.

Jillian Savageau stopped six shots and has not given up a goal against McDonogh in two meetings this year. Fifi Iluyomade assisted on Burkowski’s first-half goal for the Cavaliers.

SEVERNA PARK 10, GLEN BURNIE 0: Jenna Farrell and Sarah Gellert each recorded three goals and Toni Fiocco-Mizer added three assists for the Falcons. Shelby Chasser, Chloe MacDonald, Abby Parkinson and Lena McLaughlin each netted a goal for Severna Park (7-1-1. Brooke McCormick had 10 saves for the Gophers (1-6-1).

OLD MILL 2, ARUNDEL 1: Julia Bagnell had a goal and an assist and Braelynn South added a goal as the Patriots scored twice in the second half for their third straight win. Mya Rolinson added an assist for Old Mill (5-3-1), while Kasi Doss made 11 saves. Tierney Crehan scored and Sammy King made nine saves.for the Wildcats (2-7).

SOUTH RIVER 6, ANNAPOLIS 0: Kylie Lopez guided a potent Seahawks attack with a pair goals, while Darby Reinhart, Lissette Carneiro, Madeline Lenkart and Elizabeth Gleeson each added a goal. Dophia Michalski-Cooper, Madeline Lenkart, Lauren Zinkl, Lissette Carneiro and Lydia Boyer provided assists for South River (6-2). Annapolis fell to 1-4-2.

BROADNECK 10, NORTH COUNTY 0: Talia Gabarra had three goals and three assists while Makenna Dean added three goals and two assists for the Bruins. Tobin Chambers, Ellie Shurman, Mia Camm and Jennie Murphy also scored for Broadneck (8-1). Torie Brown, Emily Schweitzer, Mara Buto, Annika Marquez and Masene Stimely each had an assist. Maija Schwartz made two saves for Broadneck, and Madeline Ault had 12 for North County (0-7).

ROLAND PARK 2, SEVERN 1: Michelle Money found the back of the net for the Admirals (5-6-1).

AACS 5, OLDFIELDS 1: Tracy Grollman and Maddi DiAngelo each posted two goals and Taylor Grollman added another for the Eagles (4-4-2). Arissa Hendershot added eight saves in the victory.

KEY 10, BETH TFILOH 0: Paige Nespole struck for three goals whle Gabby Fagbohunka, Julia Bramscombe and Grace Jones each had two goals for the Obezags (4-4-1). Colette Nortman added the team’s other score.

CHESAPEAKE 2, SOUTHERN 0: Brooke Hurst and Camryn Gerben each booted in a goal for the Cougars (4-4-1). Haley Downin assisted both scores and Ellen Ziaja stopped six shots in the win. The Bulldogs fell to 3-3-1.

NORTHEAST 1, MEADE 1: The Eagles moved to 2-4-1; the Mustangs are now 2-5-1.
