Boys soccer: Sullivan, Ardon lift South River over Southern

Alden Sullivan put up a goal and an assist and Julio Ardon had two assists to lead South River to a 4-0 victory over Southern on Tuesday in boys soccer.

Mike Flanagan, Tommy Sheppard and Sean Kelly also scored and Kyle Berkowitz made five saves for South River (8-2-3).

Ronald Clark saved 10 shots for Southern (6-7).

CHESAPEAKE 1, BROADNECK 0: Miguel Olivares posted the game-winning goal in the first half off an assist from Jacob Hynson for the Cougars (7-4-2) . The Bruins, who received six saves from John Vaaler, dropped to 6-4-3.

SEVERNA PARK 2, NORTH COUNTY 0: Ryan Muldoon and Mason Kelly each posted a goal off assists from Drew Belloff and Nate Carey, respectively, for the Falcons (12-0-1). The Knights slipped to 7-4-1.

MEADE 3, GLEN BURNIE 0: Silas Baker (10 goals, seven assists this fall), Graham Bussink and Zeke Ayilola each booted in a goal for the Mustangs, who improved to 12-1 overall and 9-1 in the county. Bussink also contributed an assist as did Evan Marx. The Gophers, who received nine saves from Justin Bradley, fell to 1-9-1.

OLD MILL 1, ANNAPOLIS 0: Will Avis had eight saves for the Panthers, who dropped to 2-10-1. The Patriots improved to 6-6-1.

KENT ISLAND 2, EASTON 1 (OT): Ryan Knaggs scored in overtime on an excellent pass from Connor Abplanalp to help the Buccaneers (12-0) stave off the Warriors and remain undefeated. Marshall Haas scored the other Kent Island goal as the Bucs outshot the Warriors 22-5 and had an 8-1 corner kick advantage.
