Southern stays unbeaten in boys soccer

Connor Fuss, Zac Bush and Jeff Greiner netted goals in the second half for Southern in its 3-1 victory over Annapolis on Thursday.

Robert Hultberg had two assists, Jack Malloy added an assist and Ronald Clark made eight saves for Southern (6-0).

Josh Kim scored the goal and Jimmy Chinchilla stopped seven shots for Annapolis (2-4).

CHESAPEAKE 2, NORTHEAST 1: Jake Hynson scored both of the Cougars’ goals in the first half in their victory over the Eagles. Noah McHugh and Nick Benson were credited with the assists. Kyle Reider made four saves and Ethan Belcher made three for Chesapeake (3-2-1). Angel Calderon scored on a penalty kick in the second half for Northeast (1-5).

SOUTH RIVER 3, OLD MILL 2: Mike Flanagan had a goal and an assist and Andrew Robinson and Isaiah Jensen each scored goals as the Seahawks (4-1-1) topped Old Mill. Alden Sullivan and Julio Ardon each had assists. Hunter Wright made three saves and Kyle Berkowitz made two. Ronmel Alfaro scored both goals for the Patriots (1-5). Dylan Weston made 10 saves.

NORTH COUNTY 3, GLEN BURNIE 1: Herson Morales had a goal and an assist and Brandon Thellman and Chad Bobrick each had a goal as the Knights topped the Gophers. Chris Martel made two saves for North County (4-0-1).

KENT ISLAND 4, KENT COUNTY 0: Jonathan Alvarez scored a pair of goals and Alex Weese made two assists as the Bucs beat the Trojans. Kyle Allewalt and Bryam Quizhpe also scored and Mike St. Ledger added an assist for Kent Island (6-0).
