Two injured in Annapolis crash involving tractor-trailer

West Street near Admiral Drive in Annapolis was closed in both directions Thursday morning after police said a tractor-trailer collided with another vehicle.

Annapolis police posted on social media that West Street was closed in both directions near the intersection of Admiral Drive as officers responded to the crash. It reopened at about 11 a.m.

Annapolis police spokeswoman Sgt. Amy Miguez said one person in the vehicle was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore to be treated for injuries.

The driver of the tractor-trailer was taken to Anne Arundel Medical Center, Miguez added. She did not know if anyone else was involved in the crash.
