Man dies in Severn motorcycle crash

A Baltimore man died Monday after police said he crashed his motorcycle in Severn.

Anne Arundel County police said officers responded to a report of a crash in the area of Quarterfield Road near Janet Dale Lane in at 6:23 p.m.

Upon arriving, police and county firefighters found a motorcyclist had crashed his vehicle into a utility pole after he lost control.

Jeffrey Michael King, 32, was taken to Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie where he died of his injuries, police said.

Investigators say King failed to stay in his lane.

His body was sent to Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy. An investigation is continuing.
