Three people were taken to hospitals after separate collisions occurred within six hours of each other, less than a mile apart on Brock Bridge Road in Laurel.

Anne Arundel County Fire Department spokesman Capt. Russ Davies said the first incident was a single-vehicle collision that occurred at 11:45 p.m. Friday in the 8300 block of Brock Bridge Road.

A 27-year-old female was driving the vehicle, Davies said, and was ejected.

She was flown to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore by the Maryland State Police with serious but not believed to be life-threatening injuries, Davies said.

The second collision occurred in the 8200 block of Brock Bridge Road at 5:10 a.m. Saturday between a Honda Civic and the tractor portion of a tractor-trailer, Davies said.

The driver of the Civic, an 18-year-old man, was taken to shock trauma with injuries that weren’t life-threatening, Davies said. The driver of the tractor-trailer, a 33-year-old woman, went to the University of Maryland Laurel Regional Hospital with minor injuries, he said.
