Pedestrian struck and killed by train in Odenton

A pedestrian was killed Wednesday morning after being struck by an Amtrak train at the Odenton rail station, state and county officials said.

Firefighters and paramedics were called to the station at 1400 Odenton Road about 7:16 a.m for reports that a pedestrian was hit by a train, said Lt. Erik Kornmeyer, department spokesman. When they arrived, they found the man had suffered fatal injuries.
