Police have arrested a man who allegedly robbed a pharmacy in Farmingville
, Long Island
Suffolk County police arrested Patrick O'Donnell, 22, of Ronkonkomalate Thursday night and charged him with third-degree robbery. Police claim he walked into a CVS
pharmacy and first asked about the availability of specific medications, then came back a short time later and handed a threatening note demanding prescription drugs and cash. He then fled on foot.
Surveillance footage has been released of the robber, but it is not clear if tips from the public led to O'Donnell's arrest.
This arrest came on the same day that alleged Medford
pharmacy killer David Laffer pleaded not guilty to five charges of first-degree murder in Suffolk County Court. Laffer was accused of stealing thousands of hydrocodone-based painkillers.
