WANTAGH, N.Y. (WPIX)—Falling bricks caused a 10-car accident on the Southern State Parkway on Long Island.
It happened Saturday around 6 p.m. at exit 27 in Wantagh. Cops say there were no major injuries.
An earlier accident on the Wantagh State Parkway overpass caused the brick to come loose, and crumble down onto the roadway below.
Nearly 10 cars were involved in fender-benders or struck by the bricks, said Trooper Tammy Mickoliger.
Sources tell PIX News the westbound Southern State Parkway at exit 27 will be closed for at least a few days, until it's safe for traffic.
Southbound Wantagh parkway is also shut down near the site of the accident.
