IRVINGTON, N.J. (WPIX)—
A three-alarm fire broke out at a home in Irvington, New Jersey Thursday morning.
The fire began as a two-alarm fire just before 7 a.m. at a three-story house on 21st Street, near Hopkins Place.
The fire spread to a second home adjacent to it and was upgraded to a three-alarm fire by 7:30 a.m.
Firefighters were able to prevent the fire from spreading to a third home and are fighting the blaze from the ground and a nearby rooftop.
Residents in the affected homes were evaucated and no injuries have been reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
