By plane or by car, thousands of Venezuelans flocked to New Orleans to vote in their native country's presidential election.

The consulate in Miami was closed, so the nearest place for them to vote is in New Orleans.

Venezuelan President, Hugo Chavez was re-elected to another six term, despite the vast majority of these voters wanting a change, voting for 40-year old, Henrique Caprilles.

WGNO Repoter, Kenny Lopez was at the Ernest Morial Convention Center where all the Venezuelan voters spent hours in line just to have their voices heard.
