Gulf Coast native Robin Roberts announced she's fighting a rare blood disorder on "Good Morning America" Monday morning.
Roberts has myelodysplastic syndrome.
In her case the syndrome is a rare reaction to the chemotherapy treatments that helped her beat breast cancer five years ago.
Roberts will need a bone marrow transplant.
Her sister and local television anchor Sally Ann Roberts is a perfect match.
She will be her donor.
Roberts says her doctor and faith tell her she's going to make a full recovery.
