St. Andrew's Episcopal School, the oldest Episcopal school in New Orleans, Louisiana, has received $10,000 from Sean Payton's Play It Forward Foundation for its most recent fund-raising project. St. Andrew's has been raising funds this school year toward improving its campus by installing durable and safe synthetic field turf on its primary playground area, which presently consists of dirt, sand, and exposed tree roots due to heavy student use and a lack of adequate solar exposure. Installing permanent field turf will dramatically improve the quality and safety of the campus for the 167 (and growing) children of St. Andrew's. The new field turf will enable the School to enhance its athletics offerings, particularly in the areas of baseball, soccer, and flag football. The children of St. Andrew's benefit from Physical Education instruction on a daily basis, so improving the quality of the primary playground is a top priority for the School.

"St. Andrew's is immensely grateful to Sean Payton's Play It Forward Foundation for its generous donation," said Head of School Mason Lecky. "This gift brings us much closer to our goal of improving the outdoor classroom experience for our students, which will ultimately enable us to better serve the youth of New Orleans."
