Coming off a Superbowl win, Saints Head Coach Sean Payton is getting ready to release a book. ABC26 News Reporter Vanessa Bolano is covering the Saints.

Payton has a Superbowl win on his resume, now he can add author to the list. At Emeril's Restaurant, the coach gave us a sneak peek at his 295-page book "Home Team."

"This is a book about a happy ending. This is a book about the fans that have waited for this ending," says Payton.

It's a venture he says he's never done before, and could not have done without co-author Ellis Henican.

In the book "Home Team," Payton tells the true story of an underdog football team and a devastated city, and how they brought each other back to life. "I wanted it to make people feel good. I wanted it to inspire the fans and let them know how much we truly appreciate being the home team."

Payton says he gave his all into this book once the season wrapped up. "I really want to make sure that someone that's finished reading it feels like they had five hours at an airport bar when our plane got delayed."

He says he's looking forward to hearing what his players think about it. "They'll get a kick out of it I think. I think they'll enjoy it. I know they will, because so many of them were a part of it."

Coach Payton's book "Home Team" is available on Tuesday. You may be wondering why he chose Emerils? He says it's because he's got a lot of great memories there.

Plus, mark your calendars, Superbowl MVP Drew Brees is scheduled to sign the book he recently released at Barnes and Noble in Metairie on July 10th.
