Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Daniel Edwards reports that Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Agents arrested Robert Blake Douglas, (DOB 12.31.79) of Hammond LA.

On July 28, 2010, at approximately 10:30 pm, agents received information that an unknown male was in front of a convenient store on Pumpkin Center Rd. causing a disturbance. When agents arrived on the scene, they learned that the subject identified as Robert Douglas (who was reported to be under the influence of alcohol or narcotics) was attempting to sell an assault rifle to a 17 year old male subject for $200.00. Douglas was asked to leave the store earlier in the day, however returned to the location anyway. When agents and deputies made contact with Douglas, they located two additional assault weapons in his possession. Douglas was also found to be in possession of illegal prescription narcotics.

It was soon learned that Douglas had an outstanding warrant out of Lafayette, LA for the unauthorized use of a movable. With Douglas having an extensive criminal history, agents received a search warrant for his residence on Rolling Hill Drive. After executing the search warrant of the residence, agents seized four additional assault weapons, marijuana and illegal prescription narcotics.

Also arrested on July 28, 2010 was Marissa H. Douglas (DOB 10.2.81). Marissa was charged with possession with the intent to distribute CDSII narcotics. Robert Blake Douglas was charged possession of a fire arm while in possession of a controlled dangerous substance, remaining on premises once forbidden and for being a fugitive of another jurisdiction.
