On 9-14-10 shortly after 2am, a Houma Police officer patrolling the area of Daniel Turner Trailer noticed a black Geo Prism parked in the middle of the street with several subjects surrounding it. When the subjects observed the marked police unit entering the trailer park, they took off running and the vehicle exited towards East Street.

Observing this suspicious activity, the officer decided to contact the occupants of the Prism. Upon contacting them, the officer noticed the passenger, who initially gave officers a false name, but was later identified as Thomas Conway-w/m, approximately 48 years old, residing in the 1200 block of St. Marie Street acting as if he was attempting to conceal something. When asked to step out the vehicle, the officer observed Mr. Conway drop and attempt to crush a glass tube, which is known for the use of smoking crack cocaine.

Thomas Conway was immediately arrested for 1-ct. Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, 1-ct. Obstruction of Justice and 1-ct. Resisting by Giving False Information. It was later determined that Thomas Conway had an outstanding warrant for Failure to Appear through the 32nd Judicial District Court. Mr. Conway was arrested on the above mentioned charges and transported to the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex.
