St. Tammany Parish sheriff's deputies have arrested a New Orleans man for allegedly killing a Slidell-area barber during a botched robbery attempt in 2008.

Yosvani Harvey, 19, had already been booked into Orleans Parish Prison on unrelated auto theft and gun charges when he was arrested on a charge of first-degree murder by St. Tammany deputies, The Times-Picayune reported Tuesday.

Harvey allegedly shot Nathaniel Mills at the Unfadable Barber and Beauty Shop on the night of June 20, 2008. Mills was shot multiple times during what authorities believe was a botched hold-up attempt.

Investigators are still trying to determine whether others were involved in the killing, and more arrests are a possibility.
