Lafourche Parish Judge John LeBlanc ruled Tuesday afternoon that Jeremiah Wright is not mentally competent to stand trial.
Wright will be placed in the custody of mental health professionals until Judge LeBlanc reviews the case again in 90 days.
Jeremiah Lee Wright, 30, of Thibodaux, was arrested August 14, after he confessed to police that he killed seven-year old Jori Lirette. Lirette was diabled, required a feeding tube and said few words.
