Metairie - Federal investigators are looking for information about pressure tests, and BP's safety culture as another round of hearings started Monday to determine what caused the Deepwater Horizon explosion.
Doug Martin with SMIT Salvage gave is testimony Monday at the Holiday Inn in Metairie. The night of the explosion, his company got the call to help salvage the burning rig. Martin says that once at the command center, determining a point of contact was a challenge and at one point, had trouble contacting the Coast Guard and crews battling the blaze.
The board will take the information from this week's hearings to try to come up with better solutions in the event of future emergencies. Hearings on the oil spill will continue Tuesday.
