French officials will present Normandy Liberty Bell to the National World War II Museum and give the Legion of Honor award to five Louisiana veterans as part of the Veterans Day celebrations.

France's Legion of Honor Commander Admiral Brac de La Perriere on Wednesday presents the Normandy Liberty Bell, which is an exact replica of the Philadelphia original, which was a gift to the United States by the French people.

Gen. Gratien Maire, head of the Military Mission of the French Embassy to the U.S., will bestow the Legion of Honor - France's highest honor - on five Louisiana World War II vets, two posthumously.
