Below is Ed Daniels' EDitorial for Monday, November 19.

Late Sunday afternoon, the Saints get their shot at the San Francisco 49ers, the team that ended the Saints Super Bowl hopes a year ago.

Last January's playoff game still sticks in the craw of saints fans. The Niners rallied to take the lead twice in the final three minutes.

San Francisco went 85 yards in the final minute and a half to beat the Saints and deny New Orleans another chance to host an NFC championship game.

Even without Alex Smith, the 49ers are demolishing the Bears tonight in San Francisco.

The 49ers believe they are on the cusp of returning to NFL elite.  The Saints, despite an oh and four start, believe they are still there.

Sunday has the makings of something special.
