World Cup at Grant Park

If you want to watch the World Cup on Sunday in Grant Park, get ready to gooooooooooo all the way to a different part of the park. 

U.S. soccer announced Wednesday that the viewing for Sunday's 5 p.m. match against Portugal will take place at Lower Hutchison Field in Grant Park. That's right near Columbus Drive between Roosevelt Road and Balbo Drive. The previous viewing was held at Arvey Field, near the Columbus Drive and Roosevelt Road intersection in the park. The viewing area will open at 2 p.m.

In a press release, U.S. soccer said J Niice of the J Show on B96 will emcee, and the half-time show will feature Chicago Fire star Mike Magee and Chicago Fire Assistant Coach Clint Mathis. 

The final viewing party, scheduled for June 26. will be held at the Petrillo Music Shell, further north in the park.
