Md. launches campaign to combat foreclosures
Maryland officials have launched an ad campaign to battle rising foreclosures.
The multimedia advertising campaign is designed to help raise awareness about programs that are available in the state to provide help.
The campaign includes two different signs that will be displayed on Maryland Transit Administration buses and light rail cars in the Baltimore area. Metro buses within Prince George's County will also carry the ads.
State officials say about 680,000 postcards have been mailed to people in areas of the state with the highest concentrations of foreclosures. They include the message: "Mortgage Late? Don't Wait!"
The campaign also includes radio and print advertising.
