The images were unforgettable.

A Harris County prosecutors stradding her colleague as she re-enacted a crime scene where a wife was accused of stabbing her cheating husband nearly 200 times.

Susan Wright was sentenced to 25 years in prison back in March of 2004.

Now A new punishment trial began Monday for Wright, who is being re-sentenced for the 2003 killing of her husband, Jeffrey, 34.

Last year the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals threw out her original punishment.

The court agreed with her appeals attorney that her trial lawyers were deficient by presenting a meager case during the punishment phase of her trial.

Testimony began after prosecutors presented their opening statements.

Wright's attorneys declined to give an opening statement but they contend their client killed her husband in self-defense after years of abuse.
